Hannah just had her 9th Birthday. She invited 10 friends over and all but one was able to make it to her party. Her party was an Olympic themed party. There were a number of events:
- the obstacle course (kinda like the pentathlon)
- water balloon toss
- standing long jump
- dodge ball
- pulling the flag tag
- race around the island
- smash a balloon between you and your partner's belly
- three legged race
- wheel barrel race
- gummy bear jar guessing
- egg on a spoon relay
- opening ceremonies
Julie made headband's for each of the girls as they chose which country they would like to represent. Russia, Samoa, Brazil, Germany, China, Australia, USA, France and England were represented.
I took a little clip of Hannah trying out her new scooter. The scooter is battery operated and says it can go up to 15 mph. Also, the scooter can hold someone up to 150 lbs. The scooter looks a lot like a miniaturized Vespa scooter.

A scooter!? What a fun birthday gift!
It's like a mini-Vespa scooter. It says it for ages 12-17 but I don't see 12 yr. olds being as interested. The scooter runs on battery and has been a real hit for Hannah.
Looks like Hannah had a great time. Love the scooter, can't wait to see it!
The battery lasts a long time. I went riding up the hill by our home and the scooter went up the hill several times without showing any loss of power. The scooter will hold up to 150 lbs so Hannah might let you have a ride.
